Wayne Stabile heads up one of Prometheus’s deal teams and is responsible for deal sourcing, structuring, monitoring and execution. Mr. Stabile will have day-to-day responsibility for transactions in Prometheus’s third fund. Mr. Stabile joined Prometheus full-time in January 2007.
Mr. Stabile has nearly 20 years of private equity experience, having been Mr. Peters’ second-in-command at WestSphere Capital for five years. Mr. Stabile has focused on micro-cap restaurant, route businesses, and automotive companies for most of his private equity career.
Prior to joining Prometheus, Mr. Stabile was a Partner and Transaction Team Leader at MapleWood Partners, L.P. from 2000 to 2006, where Mr. Stabile served on both the MapleWood Executive Committee as well as the Investment Committee. Mr. Stabile was responsible for deal sourcing, analysis, negotiation, financing, execution and monitoring, and served as a board member of Parts Depot, Inc.
Previously, Mr. Stabile worked as a Senior Vice President for WestSphere Capital from 1992 to 1999, and was responsible for middle market private equity acquisitions and divestitures, as well as post-acquisition monitoring, mentoring and management. While at WestSphere, Mr. Stabile was Mr. Peters’ most senior investment professional for five years, and served alongside Mr. Peters as a board member of Southern California Food Services Holding Corp. and 280 Security Holdings, Inc.
From 1987 to 1992, Mr. Stabile was a Principal for Investcorp International, Inc. His responsibilities included deal analysis, execution and monitoring of middle-market private equity transactions, and he was a board member of Burnham Service Corp. and New York Department Stores of Puerto Rico, Inc. Prior to that, Mr. Stabile was a Vice President at Chase Manhattan Bank for 15 years, where he originated and managed a number of credit facilities for a wide range of corporate, municipal and middle-market clients of Chase’s commercial and investment banks.
Mr. Stabile and Mr. Peters have known each other professionally and personally for over twenty years.
Mr. Stabile received a B.A. from Hamilton College in Clinton, New York.
