Development

John Mitchell provides over 35 years of real estate development and facilities management expertise to the restaurant businesses, having been directly responsible for property management, site selection, real estate procurement, construction, engineering and architecture, lease administration, and facility expansions and remodels for food-service and restaurant businesses throughout his career.

Most recently, Mr. Mitchell served as the Senior Vice President of Development for Panda Restaurants and was responsible for growing the system from 420 stores to 1,100 stores during his 5-year tenure.  Previously, Mr. Mitchell served as the VP of Real Estate Development for Taco Bell Corporation for 10 years, with oversight on real estate construction throughout the Southeast.  Mr. Mitchell also held similar roles in the supermarket industry for 13 years for both Safeway and Big Star, and had also founded and sold his ownership in Surplus Solutions, which provides outsourced solutions for the disposition of excess real estate property, and PropertyWorks, which is a third-party provider of lease administration and management solutions.
