John Wright is the President of Prometheus’s Taco Bell and Pizza Hut businesses. Mr. Wright joined Prometheus in 2008.
Mr. Wright’s restaurant experience spans over 30 years in the QSR, family, and casual dining segments. During those 30 years, Mr. Wright filled executive roles at Top-Tier restaurant chains, such as Pizza Hut, Taco Bell, and Wendy’s. Prior to working with Prometheus, Mr. Wright held various executive roles during his 13-year tenure at Yum! Brands (previously PepsiCo and Tricon), acting as Division and Regional Vice President of Pizza Hut, overseeing 1,800 restaurants with $1.1 billion in revenues, and as National Vice President of Operations of Taco Bell, supervising 1,200 stores. Mr. Wright was also the President and COO of Wendy’s International Division from 1993 to 1999, with responsibilities for 325 units in 33 countries accounting for $500 million in sales. During his tenure at Wendy’s, Taco Bell, and Pizza Hut, Mr. Wright oversaw the development of over 400 restaurants.
Most recently, Mr. Wright was the Chairman and CEO of Pat and Oscar’s Restaurants from 2004 to 2008. Prior to his role at Pat and Oscar’s, he was the President of Bennigan’s and Metromedia Steakhouse, which owns and operates Steak and Ale, Ponderosa and Bonanza restaurants.
