Prometheus invests in businesses that are not marked
by rapid technological changes. Route-based and nationally-franchised restaurant businesses
are of primary interest. Prometheus expects
to invest in
- Companies in fragmented industries,
- Companies that appear to be
performing below their full potential,
- Companies which entail
recurring revenues and/or cash flows, and/or
- Companies that have
an opportunity to expand rapidly, either through internal
growth or externally via acquisitions.
Prometheus’s preferred investment amount for portfolio
companies ranges from approximately $5 to $10 million. Prometheus
would expect to at least double or triple the amount of invested
capital that it would commit to a portfolio company as it executes
its growth and acquisition strategy.
